This introduction to SLCN course aims to help teaching and support staff to understand speech, language and communication needs relating to children and young people.
Our 1 day introduction to SLCN includes a mix of theory and practical exercises to help explore the areas of attention and listening, receptive and expressive language and speech sounds. The course will be run by our highly experienced speech and language therapists who will discuss each area and provide strategies to support children in school and at home.
The course is aimed at teaching & support staff working in a range of education settings.

Rhian Bond is a Speech and Language Therapist with over 10 years’ experience working in a range of educational settings and specialist provisions. She is the lead therapist for SEMH and the therapy manager for Speaking Space.
Amy Green is a Speech and Language Therapist with more than 15 years’ experience working in independent practice. She has worked in a range of educational settings developing speech, language and social communication skills.
